Do not pollute the aquatic life, protect your health, cover all segments of society! The representatives of Ula Municipality and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Community Volunteers Foundation also joined us and we held the European Environment Agency Marine Litter Monitoring event with them for the first time in Kermetur Beach in Ula District on 09 March 2021. Of the wastes we found, it was the large pieces of glass and shoes, wires, and fishing waste that caught our most attention!

In our detailed collection and characterization study that lasted for 2 hours, unfortunately, 275 out of 407 pieces were again plastics! We found 40% glass by weight and the windows on the beach are very dangerous in terms of life safety!

Thanks to Ula Municipality Local Blue Flag Officer Meltem Biniş¸ and volunteer university students! We are waiting for the news of those who want to join us in our efforts to protect the environment and leave a clean world to future generations!
