The Spring Round of our Marine Litter Watch activity was held in the Kumköy Çardaklar region (locally known as Çardak Resort),

55 wet wipes, 33 glass bottles, 32 bottle caps, 25 nylon bags in 100 meters!

The Spring Round of our Marine Litter Watch activity was held in the Kumköy Çardaklar region (locally known as Çardak Resort), where we went for the third time in cooperation with Aksu Municipality and KUYAB (Kundu Tourism Investors Association). Wet wipes were quite noticeable in the event. Aksu Municipality Environmental Engineer, KUYAB Local Blue Flag Officer, and TÜRÇEV Antalya Branch officials actively participated!

Of the 267 pieces of waste, 92 are plastic, 55 are wet wipes! Other things we find are cigarette butts and packs, pieces of wood, nylon bags, lighters, bottles and caps, cardboard cups, diapers. All were plotted and recorded on European Environment Agency marine litter maps.

We are waiting for the news of those who want to join us in our efforts to protect the environment and leave a clean world to future generations!

Turkey Foundation for Environmental Education (TÜRÇEV)

It has since spread to more than 40 countries and continues to grow in numbers and spread across the world.

Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) is a network of passionate young people educating for sustainable development by producing, engaging, creative, environmental journalism. Coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), YRE is in more than 25 countries worldwideand growing!
Participants, aged 11-21, investigate environmental issues and problems and report on them through written, photographic or video journalism, wherever possible proposing solutions.
