    Turkey Foundation for Environmental Education (TÜRÇEV) was established with the aim of launching Blue Flag Program for our country, under the leadership of the Ministry of Tourism in 1993. In the Mediterranean basin in tourism in developed countries has been widespread, healthy swimming water, equipped beach and good environmental management and environmental awareness-raising activities comprising the Blue Flag of the tourism and environmental terms is also important approach and started to work.

    Blue Flag

    The Blue Flag works towards sustainable development of beaches, marinas and yachts through strict criteria dealing with Water Quality, Environmental Education and Information, Environmental Management, and Safety and Other Services.
    The Blue Flag Programme is owned and run by the non-government, non-profit organisation the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).

    Green Key

    Green Key is a voluntary eco-label for tourism facilities that promotes sustainable tourism and aims to contribute to the prevention of climate change by awarding and advocating facilities with positive environmental initiatives. Green Key began in Denmark in 1994 and was adopted by FEE in 2002 to become its fifth international Programme. It has since spread to more than 40 countries and continues to grow in numbers and spread across the world.

    Young Reporters for the Environment

    Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) is a network of passionate young people educating for sustainable development by producing, engaging, creative, environmental journalism. Coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), YRE is in more than 25 countries worldwideand growing!
    Participants, aged 11-21, investigate environmental issues and problems and report on them through written, photographic or video journalism, wherever possible proposing solutions.

    Learning About Forests

    Understanding the balance between those uses is crucial when studying how humans interact with forests. Learning about Forests' mission is to spread environmental education concerning forests and all their values among school children all around the world, through the action-oriented, participatory and positive methods of the Programme.

    Eco-Schools

    An international programme of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Eco-Schools aims to empower students to be the change our sustainable world needs by engaging them in fun, action-orientated learning.
    Each school follows a seven step change process and empowers their young people to lead processes and actions wherever they can.
